Formentera celebrates the fourth edition of Sa Ruta des Pintxos with delicious gastronomic offers

FORMENTERA, 15 April 2024

The island of Formentera is preparing to host the fourth edition of Sa Ruta des Pintxos, a culinary event that has established itself as an unmissable event for lovers of good food and local culture. This event is organized by PIMEF in collaboration with the Bar, Restaurant and Nightlife Association of Formentera (ABRO).

For two consecutive weekends, from 25 to 27 April and from 2 to 4 May, twelve restaurants on the island will offer original pintxos that highlight the best of Formentera gastronomy at affordable prices. Participants will be able to enjoy a pintxo accompanied by a drink for just 4 euros, or choose just the pintxo for 2.50 euros.

The participating venues are distributed in three of the main centers of the island, allowing visitors to explore different environments and flavours. In Sant Ferran, places such as La Trastienda and Cafuné Formentera will participate on Thursday 25 April and Saturday 4 May. In Es Pujols venues such as Sa Volta and Chezz Gerdi will open their doors on Friday 26 April and Thursday 2 May. Finally, in Sant Francesc, Bar Centro and Café Sin Tiempo will welcome diners on Saturday 27 April and Friday 3 May.

To add an element of fun and games, participants will have the opportunity to collect stamps from each establishment in a triptych. Those who complete the route and collect all the stamps will be able to participate in a draw whose first prize will be 500 euros in cash. Other prizes include two cases of El Águila beer with a set of glasses and an assortment of Schweppes Gin and Tonic.

The event has the support of the Tourism Department and the councilor Artal Mayans, as well as the patronage of Can Refrefor, the El Águila and Schweppes houses. The event is broadcast by Radio Illa and the guide to restaurants and gastronomy of Formentera, @formenterafoodlovers, guaranteeing wide coverage and participation.

Sa Ruta des Pintxos not only promises to delight the palate, but also strengthens the local community and attracts visitors looking for authentic experiences in Formentera.
